The Dace of a Lifetime (Poem)

The Dace of a Lifetime

The Dance of a Lifetime (Poem)

Written by Bennie Castle

Had happened in Paradise

the lowest domain within Heaven.

A thousand lifetimes it must’ve lasted

almost 100,000 years in fact, this

was how long it commenced.

But time seemed to cease

in the realm of Paradise.

T’was one in the morning there…

It went on and on ’til seven.

THIS was the 1st night of Seven Days

granted to the grandest devil

the Prince of Darkness himself

Lucifer.

The woman of fancy was innocent

of any crime or any fault.

But with him, Lucifer, she must arrive

because the Devil had become alive

With billions of souls gone, already dead.

completely unharmed, she was charmed

by the chance of an entrance into Heaven

 beyond its Pearly Gates.

But, ‘the dance with the Devil’

turned the warner of mankind oh so bitter.

Past many other worlds, even the Big Dipper, had he traveled

Beyond life and death itself.

Yet from outside its gate, it seemed

that the love of a life he’d once lived

was granted to the Devil as a ticket into Paradise.

At once, she’d entered

passed the Pearly Gates

and his fate

the warner’s

had then been sealed.

Revealed to him

by the handsomest Devil of all, Lucifer.

The Warner of Mankind had been warned!

He was sworn to fulfill a duty

and truly, it’d been fulfilled.

For a thousand lifetimes had he reaped

with deep regret for the bargain of his own.

Then grabbed by the devil

and thrown back into a realm beyond any he’d known.

forever, to be his new home.
